August 30th saw the start of my AMA (Ask Me Anything) Event on AMAFeed.
Well, I’ve never done anything like it before, but, I must say it was incredibly enjoyable to read the variety of things people wished to know about me and my work.
Not only was it so humbling that I received so many questions, but, it truly made me think about myself, my Model-making, Miniatures and so much more too, resulting in new ideas and a slightly fresher outlook on things.
To have so many strangers interested and being so supportive is such a wonderful feeling, that made me feel a little stronger in my thinking – that I can achieve everything I wish to!
The day my Event ended – September 2nd – I was having a particularly difficult day (with my health) so my wonderful Dad suggested that my Mum and myself went out for a little while. We had never been before (and always meant to) so, today was the day! We drove a little, parked up and went for a beautiful walk around Newtown Creek – a stunning causeway on the Isle of Wight.
(If you’re ever on the Island – or live here too – I thoroughly recommend a visit!)
Whilst strolling along, enjoying the amazing view, smells and company, I came across a painted rock, tucked to the side of the causeway. Being aware of a local lady who creates and distributes such items across the Island, I approached with hope.
Looking closer, it read:
“Always Be Yourself”
turning it over to see the words:
Langford Rocks. Post Pic on Facebook. Keep/Rehide. Helz.
I wasn’t 100% sure of the lady’s name, however, upon Googleing this information, it appears to be another group, in which these wonderful acts of kindness are left to simply make a strangers day – and boy did it!
At a very difficult time (hence the walk) this truly was such a significant moment – a wonderful sentiment and important reminder that I will treasure for always.
This, coupled with such a wealth of support as a result of my AMA, really did give me a tiny boost.
A few days later, I was sure to follow the instructions and posted my beautiful find on Facebook (as well as my Twitter and Instagram too) which, with some lovely comments, somehow prolonged the joy and message ever further.
I plan to keep this one (as it did say I could) but I will be sure to pass on this sentiment by creating my own for someone to find.
If you are thinking about giving an AMA a go yourself, I truly can’t praise and recommend AMAFeed enough – you won’t be disappointed. It is a brilliant way to network and promote, but most importantly, a wonderful way to delve a little deeper into your thinking and journey – and perhaps learn something new about yourself too!
Now I’m aware of this great platform, there’s no stopping me – ooh, its like when I found Pinterest…so addictive and inspiring!
I thoroughly look forward to participating in others events and perhaps holding another of my own too!
Thank You so much to everyone who participated and took the time to ask me
questions – it really was a wonderful 3 days that I truly will take forward and hold with me for always.
I just want to say Thank You to the AMAFeed Team too, who were incredibly helpful and supportive – being me, I had to get everything just perfect!
A special mention to the wonderful Cassy Thaddus, who introduced me to AMA and encouraged me to join, as well as a fantastic lady on the ‘inside’…Melissa, who sorted out a few technical problems for me – technology eh?!!
P.S. Although this official Event is over, if you’d like to know any more about what I covered, or have a question you’d like to ask me yourself, please do drop me a message!
